Plugin Highlights & Features

Right-Click Image Upload

Right-click a web image and choose “Upload directly” or “Upload and open”. The extension fetches the image and uploads it through API v2 without a manual save.

Capture and Upload Screenshots

Press Alt+Shift+X (Cmd+Shift+X on macOS), or use the context menu to capture the visible viewport or select a region. Confirm the upload in the screenshot page.

Copy links in your chosen format

Enable auto-copy to choose a viewer URL, direct image URL, or Markdown link. The viewer URL is the default.

API key required for uploads

Both right-click and screenshot uploads require an API key. Anonymous mode hides the public uploader identity but still uses that key’s account and quota.

Background Uploads & Notifications

The extension handles image uploads in the background and can report results through browser notifications.

Secure Local Key Storage

Your API key is stored in the extension’s local browser storage and sent to tutu.to only when calling its upload API.

Installation & Setup Guide

Start uploading right-click images in just 3 quick steps.
1
Install the Extension
Install via Chrome Web Store.
2
Configure the required API key
Get an API key from tutu.to settings and save it in the extension popup. An API key is still required when anonymous upload is enabled.
3
Start Uploading
Right-click an image or use the screenshot shortcut. After uploading, the link is copied if auto-copy is enabled in the extension.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload without an API key?

No. Both right-click image and screenshot uploads require an API key. Anonymous upload only hides the public uploader identity; it does not bypass authentication and still counts against the key account’s quota.

How to use the screenshot feature?

Use “Capture visible viewport” or “Select region” in the context menu. Alt+Shift+X (Cmd+Shift+X on macOS) uses your configured default screenshot mode. The capture opens in a new page for confirmation before upload.

When does the extension read page content?

The extension reads the selected image or captured page when you start an upload and sends it to tutu.to. Some web images may be fetched through a proxy; the API key is not sent to that proxy.
